Wild Fells
The term "fell" refers to a hill or mountain, derived from Old Norse, similar to the Norwegian word for mountain, "fjell", known for their steep slopes, rocky terrain, and often barren summits, creating a wild and untamed landscape.
Inspired by the raw, sweeping landscapes of the Lake District, this collection of original mixed media works captures the ever-changing drama of its hillsides, valleys, and still waters.
Created in acrylic and soft pastel, each piece layers rich, saturated colour with expressive mark-making — deep forest greens, heathered purples, golden ridgelines, and the cool stillness of mountain lakes reflected in moody skies.
Each piece stands alone or works beautifully as part of a curated wall grouping, bringing the wild beauty of the Cumbrian fells into your home.
